Our diverse faculty prepares students through education, research, and outreach programs to become critical thinkers. We offer degrees in Biology, Biotechnology, and Forensic Science. Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Department of Biological Sciences at Fayetteville State University invites applications for a one-year fixed term Adjunct Assistant Professor/Adjunct Lecturer of Biotechnology & Molecular Biology to begin in August 2018.
The Department of Biological Sciences offers B.S. degrees in Biology with three concentrations (I. Plant Sciences, II. Biotechnology & Molecular Biology, and III. Organismal Biology) and Forensic Science with approximately 400 majors. The position will strengthen the Dept. in the areas of Biotechnology & Molecular Biology; therefore, the successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and General Biology, advise students, and serve the department, college, university, and community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate courses in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and General Biology
• Mentor students, and serve the department, college, university, and community.
• Ability to teach Bioinformatics is a plus.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or a closely related field, a Post-Doctoral Experience, and a strong record of publications and research accomplishments. The candidate should also be able to teach online.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology with a focus in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or a closely related field and a strong record of publications and research accomplishments. An MS in Biology with 18 Credit hours of graduate level courses in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, & Microbiology can be considered for the Lecturer position. The candidate should also be able to teach online.
