Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Adolescent Medicine

Job description



The University of Kentucky is currently seeking a faculty member in the Department of Adolescent Medicine, to provide psychological services at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and the Kentucky Children's Hospital. The responsibilities of this position will be to provide psychological counseling and testing services, as well as program development, to both inpatient and outpatients with program development focusing on eating disorders and transgender youth.

This position will also supervise house staff assigned to the service during these rotations, and medical and mental health students providing services in the outpatient clinics. The faculty member will have an active role in the College of Medicine, and is expected to lecture and participate in small group and individual student instruction. In addition, this position is expected to engage in professional development.

Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment.



Required License/ Registration/Certification

Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Psychological Association

Knowledge of current licensure, regulations, and requirements as set forth by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology and the American Psychological Association

Must possess, or be eligible to possess, a valid license issued by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Ability to relate and communicate with internal and external faculty, staff, and other clients of this department.

Previous experience providing psychological services as a Licensed Psychologist to children and adolescents.
