Associate Vice President for Human Resources

Job description

The Associate Vice President for Human Resources provides vision, leadership and oversight for all human resource functions including benefits, compensation, employee relations, worker's compensation, employment, HRIS, performance management, and records. Serves as chief negotiator representing management during negotiations with the Advisors, Counselors, and Faculty bargaining unit. Assures the College remains in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, requirements of federal and state governing agencies, and College personnel policies and regulations. Manages the overall operation of the Human Resources Office, providing staff supervision and management of the departmental budget. Assists Title IX Coordinators in overseeing compliance with the Clery Act, Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE and all college, state, and federal reporting as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field plus seven years of full time work-related experience in human resources administration and supervision required. Higher education experience preferred. A valid driver’s license and insurability to drive College vehicles is required. Hiring process includes a background check. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
