Assistant Professor

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Western New England University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2018. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a closely related field, with teaching and research interest in medical robotics, neural engineering or bio-manufacturing. Outstanding candidates in other areas will also be considered. Candidates are expected to excel in undergraduate teaching, research, design and mentoring of young engineers. Desirable characteristics include knowledge of medical device development including FDA Quality System Regulations, and professional engineering licensure.

Western New England University has a growing and vibrant undergraduate biomedical engineering program that emphasizes industrially and clinically relevant research and design. The program prides itself on delivering high-quality engineering education while providing strong mentorship to students. The BME department maintains relationships with local medical centers and biomedical corporations. The College of Engineering offers BS, MS and PhD in multiple engineering disciplines.
