The Department of English and Literary Arts offers the BA, MA, and PhD in Literary Studies and Creative Writing. The curriculum includes a variety of courses from British, American, and World literatures. Position Summary

The Department of English and Literary Arts at the University of Denver seeks to hire a one-year, non-tenure track, full-time Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor for the 2018-2019 academic year. Appointment will begin on September 1, 2018. The position may be extended for an additional year, contingent on continued need and funding. The person hired will teach eight courses over three quarters.

Essential Functions

Teach undergraduate general education and major courses, including: First-year Seminar, Advanced Seminar, Analytic Inquiry-Society. The candidate may also teach an advanced undergraduate or graduate course in her or his area of specialization.

Required Qualifications

  • MA in English or related discipline.
  • Excellent university level teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABD or Ph.D. in English or related discipline.
