Position Summary
This is a 12-month, full-time staff position in the Office of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships (OCEP) in the School of Education (SOE). The Coordinator of Early Clinical Experiences and Partnerships will professionally demonstrate commitment to, and support the development of, the SOE's mission. The mission includes collaboratively constructing a strategic, clinical trajectory to state licensure for all teacher candidates in the SOE. This position focuses on partner development in early clinical experiences for the SOE and therefore requires knowledge of the working of PK-12 schools. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to be a liaison with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., students, faculty, affiliates, host teachers, building leaders, and district leaders). It also requires strong communication skills (oral and written), the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities, and proficiency with database management.

70% Clinical Experiences: Development, communication, and tracking

• Serves as lead communicator, and liaison for Director, with all stakeholders in early clinical experiences (e.g., teacher candidates, faculty, host teachers, university mentors, mentor teachers, school leaders, and school district personnel) regarding all aspects of early clinical experiences. (e.g., placements, policies, timelines, expectations).
• Provides clear and accurate information to constituents in a timely manner and with exceptional professionalism. Maintains confidentiality and exercises good judgment in sharing information. Responds to emails and phone calls regarding early clinical experiences in a timely manner and seeks support from the Director as needed.
• Supports external relationships (e.g., districts and schools) and coordinates student placements for early clinical experiences.
• Coordinates with faculty from various departments for purpose of placing students in early clinical experiences.
• Develops and maintains a system for accurate record tracking of placements over time.
• Monitors requests, eligibility, and receipt of appropriate documentation at key points in time.
• Alerts the Director to potential problematic issues/circumstances and trends across issues/circumstances. Researches various complaints and/or situations, including relevant historical information, as they arise and advises Director in appropriate action.

10% OCEP Policies & Reports

• With Director, engages in annual review of guidebook, policies, practices, and procedures used in clinical experiences and OCEP office. Updates these resources based on any decisions or changes in policies or regulations.
• Collaborates with data analyst(s) and other relevant staff to produce reports required by the Dean, the School of Education, departments, the university, and external bodies.

10 % Electronic communication and social media of OCEP office

• Processes OCEP emails and brings to the attention of the appropriate person.
• Manages social media for OCEP.

5 % Events for OCEP
• Engages in event planning for major events and work sessions across calendar year to include, but not limited to: summer seminars, professional seminar series, partnership meetings & celebrations, and clinical experiences meetings with other departments across campus. Supports making of arrangements including space, logistics, catering, printing, and preparation of materials.

5% Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution
Experience in Colorado PK-12 school or district settings
Clear and effective written communication skills (to be assessed initially via the submitted applications documents).
Demonstrated experience with database management

Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years' experience in Colorado PK-12 school or district settings
Working knowledge of Colorado Front Range schools and districts
Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities
Experience working with teachers from multiple levels and types of schools
Working knowledge of clinical experiences in higher education
Working knowledge of teacher development
Current or past teaching license
Experience with social media management
Strong oral communication skills
