Assistant Professor in Mining Engineering

Job description

The Department of Mining Engineering is currently seeking a research faculty member to develop and assist department faculty in the development of funded research programs through the submission of proposals to federal and state agencies as well as industry.

Other duties will include: publish research findings in peer-reviewed journal publications and conference proceedings as well as deliver presentations at regional, national and international meetings, in addition to conducting high quality fundamental and applied research that has measurable impact in the scientific community and industry. This position will also build and assist in maintaining state-of-the-art laboratories needed for the performance of fundamental and applied research, as well as assist in the education and training of undergraduate researchers, graduate students, post doctorates and other researchers associated with the department.
