Assistant Professor of Psychiatry
The Assistant Professor in Psychiatry will provide ambulatory clinical care in the Department of Psychiatry and University Health Service, as well as participate in on-call inpatient coverage for the Department of Psychiatry. This individual will provide critical mentorship and instruction to the residents with whom they practice. This faculty member will also provide clinical teaching and advising to medical students and trainees in other departments throughout the College of Medicine.
The individual will be expected to be an active participant in the activities of and leader in the Department of Psychiatry such as grand rounds, morning report, noon conferences, educational conferences, as well as serve on clinical committees that enhance the care of patients and operation of the clinical practice.

Required Related Experience
Completion of residency and previous experience in providing psychiatric services
Required License/ Registration/Certification
Eligibility for board certification in Adult and Child Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; licensure to practice medicine in the State of Kentucky, or eligibility to obtain this licensure.
Ability to relate and communicate with internal and external faculty, staff and other clients of the Department of Psychiatry
Knowledge of psychiatric practices in a variety of clinical, teaching and research environments. Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment.
