Job description

The Scientist I will join the Markey Cancer Center, conducting translational research in the state of the art BioPharm Complex.

The primary responsibilities of this position include establishing, maintaining and utilizing patient derived cancer model systems to evaluate relationships between genotypes and responses to anti-cancer drugs.

The candidate should possess excellent written and communication skills, be able to work independently, meet deadlines and have experience with animal models, cell culture and molecular biology techniques.

The Scientist I will also interface with the Molecular Tumor Board and Early Phase Clinical Trials Center at the Markey Cancer Center.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm


Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, etc.), Adobe Photoshop or similar.

Preferred Education/Experience

Minimum of 2 years research experience (including postdoctoral positions). PhD in cancer biology, pharmacology or related field preferred.
