Degree and Area of Specialization:
Ph.D. in biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or closely related field; and demonstrated potential for excellence in orthopedic-related, biomechanical research.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
For appointment to the associate or full professor rank, candidate must meet criteria for appointment at rank per the established University of Wisconsin-Madison Faculty Division of Biological Sciences guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
License or certificate:
The Department of Orthopedics is seeking a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or full Professor of Biomechanics. The successful candidate will have a specialty in some aspect of skeletal biomechanics. The successful candidate could excel in experiments, theory, computational modeling, or any combination of these approaches coupled with a strong knowledge of bioscience.
