Prior experience within financial aid or the field of employment or personnel is preferred. Must have strong organizational and planning skills. Also must have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. Successful candidates will also possess a working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word and Excel.

The Office of Student Financial Aid is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join the Student Employment Unit. This unit falls within the Special Awards team in the Office of Student Financial Aid. The Student Employment Unit directly oversees a Federal work-study program that includes over 3,000 students with a budget exceeding $3M. The Student Job Center, which averages 20,000 users and 40,000 sessions monthly, also serves a critical role in this units efforts to engage students in meaningful employment opportunities that compliment academic pursuits. In addition, the Student Employment Unit seeks to provide leadership to campus surrounding the implementation of student employment initiatives, experiences, and programs for students. Ultimately the unit is focused on utilizing the high-impact practice of student part-time employment to enhance access and eliminate barriers all while cultivating future careers for students.
The Student Employment Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director for Student Employment.
