-Proven record of process improvement strategies and implementation
-Planning and organization & project management skills. Able to coordinate many different project tasks (determines relative importance of each; prioritizes and plans work activities; sets appropriate deadlines to complete activities accordingly) ; Effectively manages time and resources; sets goals and objectives
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-High degree of initiative
-Business process analysis and design techniques
-Knowledge and understanding of financial aid regulation and processes highly desirable
-Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions software highly desirable
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
-Knowledge of data analysis and query tools
-Effective and proven testing experience (automated testing experience, highly desirable)
-Experience with data warehouse, highly desirable

Position Summary:

This position is a business analyst for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system for the Office of Student Financial Aid, and in a limited capacity, will work with our scholarship management software and other vendor software(s). This position reports under general supervision to the Associate Director of Operations in the Office of Student Financial Aid and will work closely with a team of developers and functional analyst to maintain and improve operations for the financial aid software systems. Duties will include project management, business requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, data analysis, query writing and customer support.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and functional knowledge of financial aid. The individual in this role is expected to be a creative problem solver and process improver, and is required to have strong analytical and technical skills combined with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, curious, resourceful and work well in a team environment.
