Requisition Title: Assistant / Associate / Full Professor - Geriatric Medicine - 1800455


The Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at University of Toronto are seeking to recruit qualified academic geriatricians to a variety of academic position descriptions, including Clinician Teachers, Clinician Educators, Clinicians in Quality & Innovation, Clinician Scientists, and Clinician Investigators to a maximum of 8 full-time positions. Successful candidates would be hired through one of 6 fully-affiliated Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network hospitals: Baycrest Health Sciences, Sinai Health System, St. Michael's Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University Health Network, or Women's College Hospital. Successful candidates must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The effective start date of the appointments is July 1, 2018, or a mutually agreeable date.

These individuals will provide exemplary patient-centred care and will be expected to participate in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto as appropriate.

Successful candidates will be committed to a career in geriatric medicine. Their academic interests will be demonstrated by specialization in education, quality improvement, or research, and accomplishments in quality, research or educational scholarship.

Successful candidates must hold an MD degree, have, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, in Geriatric Medicine as well as have, or be eligible for, specialist Geriatric Medicine certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Estimated remuneration will be in the range of $250,000-$300,000 per annum, including fees for service, and will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience.
