Director of Special Projects
The UNC System Office located in Chapel Hill, NC invites applications for the position of Director of Special Projects. The Director of Special Projects will serve as a project manager for strategic initiatives and projects that cross functional units within Academic Affairs. The Director will have a priority focus specifically on projects that are related to integrative student success and those that bridge academic and student affairs functional areas and involving adult learners and adult learning initiatives. The Director will also coordinate with the Vice President for Digital Learning working issues that may include, but are not limited to: project coordination; digital learning program facilitation; data gathering, analysis, and presentation; and internal (System) marketing, to include creating and maintaining WordPress sites and managing other social media accounts. The Director of Special Projects reports directly to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Requires: Master’s degree in a related field, i.e. business, marketing, education, education technology, or communications with an emphasis in digital/social media and five (5) years of related project management and/or research experience; or a related Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and education.
