Senior Associate Director - GEO
The Senior Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and is part of the executive leadership team of the Global Education Oregon (GEO) unit. The Sr. Associate Director works closely with the Executive Director on overall leadership and management of the unit and ensures coordination across GEO’s main operational functions (program management, advising, analytics/student success, institutional relations). The Sr. Associate Director collaborates with the Executive Director on all aspects of the ongoing functions, daily operations (including program management, advising, institutional relations, administration, etc.), financial management, human resources, policy development, crisis management, campus and institutional partnership collaborations, and strategic planning for GEO.
The Sr. Associate Director ensures smooth integration and coordination across the operations of teams working on program management, advising, analytics/student success, and institutional relations. The Sr. Associate Director, along with the Executive Director and the Assistant Directors for Program Management, Analytics/Student Success, Advising, and Institutional Relations, as well as the Executive Assistant, constitute the GEO Executive Leadership Team, which manages the full suite of GEO programs. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Sr. Assoc. Director assumes responsibility for GEO as a unit that reports to the Office of International Affairs.
The Sr. Associate Director interfaces with a variety GEO stakeholders, including domestic and international, and UO and non-UO entities. This position conducts site visits and attends, facilitates, and/or presents at meetings or conferences domestically and internationally. The Sr. Associate Director is on-call as scheduled, to handle urgent and emergency issues as they arise.
