Assistant Professor of Nursing

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities Full-time faculty responsible for theory and clinical teaching in the area of medical-surgical/adult nursing in the Weekend Program with teaching responsibilities, every-other-weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for nine (9) months.

Minimum Required Education Masters of Science in Nursing or BSN and enrolled in an MSN Program which can be completed within two years from hire date.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications - Licensure as a professional Registered Nurse in West Virginia

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Required:- Minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.- Agency health requirements compliance - Two years of clinical nursing experience as an RN

Preferred Qualifications Preferred:- Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related field- Master's Degree in Nursing - Experience in medical-surgical/adult health nursing- Professional and scholarly achievement as defined by promotion and tenure guidelines- Minimum of two years of teaching experience- Professional nurse with emphasis in medical-surgical/adult health nursing
