Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
At least 2 years' experience in a business intelligence role or a role in organizational analytic. Requirements include:
- General knowledge of Business Intelligence tools to include either Tableau or Qlik.
- Knowledge of the complete data management life cycle and how to effectively manage it.
- Experience with advancing projects with multiple components, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience developing policy around the use of visualizations within a higher-ed setting.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within established and ad hoc teams
License or certificate:
The Data Governance Program Coordinator is responsible for implementation of UW-Madison's Data Governance Program operations, under the supervision of the Chief Data Officer, and in collaboration with others. This will include collaborating with data stewards and custodians and data analysts across the institution to ensure the appropriate data are available, accurate, complete and secure for all appropriate UW-Madison data users. The Data Governance Program Coordinator facilitates the implementation of consistent data definitions, maintains business and technical requirements and monitors and audits data quality. The Coordinator will have a role in implementation and ongoing support for UW-Madison's Enterprise Tableau Server project, the Data Cookbook, and related elements of the data management program. The incumbent emphasizes the business value of data, fosters the goal of data re-use, and articulates the significance of institutional data to the Data Stewardship Council and the broader campus community.
