The UNTHSC Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems' goal is to help students develop the expertise to effectively engage communities and health systems in improving policy, management, and public health practice. Our graduates assume positions in healthcare, business, human services, research, and academic settings. Our masters and doctoral programs are delivered by experienced faculty who use engaging, innovative teaching methods. HBHS faculty are also widely recognized for their impactful research. Their work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control, National Science Foundation, and many other national, state and local agencies. Faculty are widely published in the areas of patient safety, disease control, health disparities and underserved populations, women's and children's health, participatory research, substance abuse prevention, and online/m-health interventions. HBHS faculty have received national and international awards for their work bridging teaching, research and practice.

Position Details
The Health Behavior and Health Systems Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our team.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for carrying out the day to day activities necessary to meet deliverables for a research contract entitled "Prospective comparison of the tuberculin skin test and interferon-gamma release assays in diagnosing infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and in predicting progression to tuberculosis" under the supervision of project investigators.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Responsibility for management and direct conduct of day-to-day activities required for the contract such as data entry, quality assurance, subject follow-up, and other duties as assigned.
* Assist in preparing reports, institutional review board filings, and other study documents as required.
* Facilitate, attend, and represent the site in on- and off-site Project Coordinator and other meetings.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology.
* At least one year experience working on a CDC tuberculosis epidemiologic study, including experience with required regulatory and other reporting, and in using CDC's STEMS and other data collection systems.
