Advertised Job Summary
Under supervision of the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications, the Coordinator for Marketing Production is responsible for the production and delivery of assigned marketing and communications projects and collateral for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The Coordinator supports marketing projects for key functional areas in the office by developing creative content, from concept to production, for logotypes, promotional items, advertisements, fliers, posters, brochures, booklets and signage. S/he will work closely with the Senior Coordinator for Marketing and Communications to ensure all deliverables are in accordance with design standards. The Coordinator works in collaboration with the office's Marketing, Recruiting, International, Operations and Strategic Technology Initiatives teams.
In addition to serving as a marketing specialist, the Coordinator uses his/her knowledge of admissions procedures, policies and practices to provide accurate counseling and customer service to students, parents and guidance counselors regularly via phone and email, and in person at special events that take place frequently throughout the year. The Coordinator also reviews students' applications and renders decisions for admission to the university.
The Coordinator assists in assessment and continual improvement of his/her area of responsibility in order to work toward meeting the office's annual enrollment goals. The overall purpose of the Coordinator role is to propose new and creative ideas to ensure prospective students have been personally, effectively and knowledgeably served, while working toward the highest yield of enrolled students from the admitted group.

Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.Preferred Qualifications
A degree in visual arts, graphic design, marketing, public relations, advertising or journalism is preferred. Experience in and/or understanding of university admissions is preferred. Previous marketing experience is highly desirable. Prefer someone with knowledge of admissions policies and procedures and familiarity with national issues and trends in higher education. Desktop publishing, editing and design experience using either PC or Mac platform is preferred. Photography skills are a plus.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess keen knowledge of mass communication and graphic design principles, printing industry terminology and copy editing style. Graphic design skills are critical in this role. Must handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment where both quality and delivery timing directly impact the success of the office's admissions efforts.
Must understand budgetary impact of design decisions and provide appropriate guidance to admissions colleagues during project production to maximize quality output solutions that are also cost effective.
Must demonstrate superior attention to detail. Must be able to handle confidential or sensitive situations with poise and professionalism. Must relate well to people, have an engaging personality and be able to speak with confidence before groups. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint InDesign Dreamweaver; Photoshop; and Illustrator. Must possess and maintain a positive, customer-friendly attitude. Must be able to cultivate and manage key relationships with internal and external constituents and develop marketing projects collaboratively with key stakeholders.
Must be able to inspire students to pursue higher education and represent the university effectively when counseling families. Must be able to interact with prospective students, applicants and families with empathy, tact and discretion. Must be able to speak and write clearly, professionally, and with confidence. Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, read and evaluate academic credentials, operate a personal computer and make public presentations to groups. Must also be able to counsel individuals and maintain confidentiality of student credentials.
