Laboratory Technician Senior
The Dr. Greg Graf laboratory within the College of Pharmacy is seeking candidates a Laboratory Technician Senior position.
The Graf lab's research program is focused on identifying and understanding the mechanisms that contribute to the elimination of excess cholesterol from the body. High cholesterol has long been known to increase risk for cardiovascular disease. Recent evidence suggests that disruptions in cholesterol metabolism also contribute to the development of insulin resistance and fatty liver disease. By understanding these mechanisms, we hope to identify novel therapeutic targets in the treatment of metabolic disease.
This position will perform standard molecular and cell biology experiments and provide experimental data to a variety of sources.
Additional responsibilities include animal husbandry and experimentation; Mouse colony maintenance, weaning, notching, injections, survival and non-survival surgical procedures.
The position will also assist with training students, staff and fellows in basic, routine lab techniques and maintain lab, experiment and safety documentation.
