The laboratory of Dr. Kim Nixon, College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician Senior.

This position will independently perform hands-on, reliable experiments; assist with production of animal model and tissue collection according to established protocols; perform assays on rodent tissues following established protocols; assist in the development of novel assays and protocols as required by project needs; manage and record data collections and quantification of results; and assist with data analysis, data plotting and manuscript preparation.

Additionally this position will manage aspects of the lab and equipment. They will be responsible for maintaining adequate stock of supplies, reordering as needed, tracking inventory and logging all materials; managing lab and experiment records, equipment maintenance and lab organization; and maintaining safety documentation and chemical and biohazard waste disposal.

Regular biology bench laboratory work (sitting and standing), and working with laboratory rodents.
