Full-Time Faculty Position Assistant Professor or Higher

Research Focused Faculty Position (tenure-track) - up to 12-Month Appointment

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time (up to 12-month) position in the College of Nursing. This tenure-track position will report to the Associate Dean of Research and PhD Faculty Affairs. Expectations of the position include maintaining an active program of research supported by extramural funding; ongoing record of scholarly productivity including peer reviewed publications and presentations; teaching to include classroom and online instruction; advising and mentoring of graduate students; serving on PhD and DNP student advisory committees appropriate to candidate's expertise; active involvement in university and college committees as well as service to the profession.

Qualifications include a doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree or comparable research-focused doctorate in nursing or related field. Applicants with a nursing degree must be eligible for or hold RN licensure in the state of Kentucky.

The ideal candidate will have initial evidence of the ability to develop a program of extramurally funded research, such as a history of grant funding and scholarly productivity including peer reviewed publications and presentations; and potential for collaboration with faculty in one of the areas of college research strengths: cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment, health disparities; health policy; human lactation; maternal-child health and perinatal addiction; radon and other environmental risk reduction; self-care of chronic conditions; substance abuse; or tobacco prevention, treatment and/or policy. Completion of a post-doctoral fellowship and the capacity to support the university's strategic objective of facilitating interdisciplinary research and collaborative scholarship are highly preferred.

Required Education
