Position Summary

The Administrative Support Specialist/Compliance Specialist is the chief administrative support for four
major areas:

-University wide HIPAA Privacy compliance
-The AAAHC accreditation compliance process within Student Health Services
-Coordination for Management Team submissions to the Power DMS document management system.
-Medical provider licensing compliance

Additionally, the Compliance Specialist is cross-trained to perform both personnel and payroll responsibilities in the absence of the designated HR liaison. The Compliance Specialist also provides administrative support for Management Team members as requested.

The work assigned to this position requires knowledge of program policies, procedures, and information systems to communicate and process information. It also requires specialized knowledge of HIPAA privacy compliance, AAAHC accreditation compliance, the Power DMS document management system, clinical licensing requirements and the University requirements for personnel and payroll documentation. Most assigned tasks involve several steps and require the selection of the most appropriate action within procedural and operational guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications


Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree and/or 3-5 years of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Alternate Option
