Classification Title: Departmental IT Specialist - Associate
Division: Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
Department: Housing & Residence Life

Nature of Work:
This position coordinates, plans, supports, and executes IT projects as well as facilitates the understanding of project management principles across the Housing Department and in collaboration with the Department of ITS. Major duties and responsibilities include defining and initiating IT projects, developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets and risk management plans, managing the execution and control of assigned projects and closing out projects to the satisfaction of the customer and the Housing Department. Other duties include communicating project progress to their supervisor, conducting training sessions and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related field or 5 years of progressive IT related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience supporting applications preferred.
Experience with StarRez, Lenel, Schoolcast, or Blackboard considered a plus.

Salary    $17.14 minimum - $22.38 midpoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position must be able to move around campus to service desktop units, conduct training seminars, etc. This position may have to lift and move computers and electronic components 50 pounds or greater.
