Assistant Professor of Accounting

Job description

Juniata College invites applications for a fixed-term (two years) position as Assistant Professor of Accounting beginning in August 2018.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to teach auditing, advanced accounting, forensic accounting, financial accounting and other courses. The successful candidate will teach in both our undergraduate programs and in our Master of Accounting program and assist with assessment efforts. This position will also require a student-centered approach to teaching, assistance with student career development, participation in scholarly and professional development activities, and contribution to the development of the department and college.

Qualified candidates will possess at least a CPA certification and a related master's degree, but a D.B.A. or Ph.D. is preferred. ABD candidates close to receiving their degree may also apply. The following strengths will be viewed favorably: previous teaching experience, related professional experience, and a strong commitment to teaching and advising.
