Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
Provides technical assistance to students with edTPA creation, implementation, and submission, assists with uploading of evidences, design of portfolio, and video troubleshooting. Assists the assessment office with designing and creating modules for students and faculty to use for edTPA and NC Teacher Licensure. Creates EdTPA and NC Teacher Licensure resources (Training Aides, Instructional Videos) for students. Provides technology support to teacher education candidates in the theories, and best practices that are pertinent to NC Carolina Licensure and the Watson College of Education. Leads events and technology projects; schedules and delivers for College of Education.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area. Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Experience with public school education and instructional technology integration. Strong organizational skills, experience designing professional development for educators, creativity and proficiency with technology, a working knowledge of current School reform and Scientifically-based research in education. Evidence of skills in a wide range of contemporary instructional technologies, and their implications for use in the K-12, and university level environments. Experience as a talent and innovative classroom teacher
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
NC Teaching License preferred
Master’s Degree in Education or related field preferred
National Board certification; demonstrated
Recruitment Range: $50,000 - $53,100
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 72
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
