The University of Virginia's McIntire Department of Music seeks applications for a full time position as Lecturer in Collaborative Piano. Duties include teaching collaborative piano, chamber music, piano class, accompanying for select ensembles and projects, and maintaining a private teaching studio of 6-10 students. This is a one year contract with a possibility for continuation. The position has an anticipated start date of August 25, 2018.
The UVA Music Department supports a vibrant performance program featuring a wide range of ensembles such as choral, new music, jazz, symphony and many more. In addition the Department offers innovative programs in Composition and Computer Technologies, and Critical and Comparative Studies. We are very interested in attracting excellent performance colleagues who can also interact with these areas of the Department in some way.

Applicants must have a master's in music by the date of appointment; a doctorate in music or a related field is preferred. Successful teaching experience at the university level and evidence of significant experience in accompanying and ensemble performance is desired.
