The James Madison Program seeks candidates for a position as Associate Director for the Program, to be appointed at the rank of Professional Specialist. Reporting to the Executive Director of the James Madison Program, the successful candidate will: *mentor the Madison Program's annual postdoctoral research associates and provide expert guidance for their research and publication agendas *conduct optional non-credit seminars for the Madison Program's Undergraduate Fellows Forum; *plan and direct Madison Program non-credit summer seminars for non-Princeton students and recent PhDs *offer Freshman Seminars when approved *Conduct research in his or her field of expertise *With approval of the Dean of the Faculty and at the invitation of the Department of Politics, the successful candidate may teach courses in the new Politics track in American Ideas and Institutions, or serve as a preceptor in lecture courses in the Department QUALIFICATIONS Excellent research and writing skills Record of politics-related scholarly publications, both articles and books Demonstrated expertise in American constitutional law, American political institutions, and American and Western political thought PhD in Politics required The successful candidate must be well-organized, attentive to detail, and able to respond to deadlines in a timely manner.
