The Dean's Office has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Desktop Support Analyst (IT Professional) position.

At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.
This position will be a member of a team that is responsible for providing desktop information technology support for departments within the School of Medicine. This position will provide support for approximately 400 users including faculty, staff and students within assigned departments/divisions. The Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers and local area network (LAN).
- Troubleshooting networks, systems and applications in order to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Interacting with users to determine problems, analyze situations, identify the source of the problems, determine appropriate solutions and take proper actions required to solve the problems.
- Performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and training tasks to ensure optimal computer performance and user experience.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional level experience providing desktop/network support which included installing, configuring and maintaining personal computers and local area network (LAN).
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, standing and sitting for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally work evenings and weekends in response to needs of the systems being supported.
- More than 2 years of experience providing desktop/network support
- Experience working with a wide range of computer network systems including Windows servers and networking applications.
- Experience providing technical training and support to users.
