Job description

Duties: Responsible for research, procurement, transportation, insurance and all Registrarial aspects of the ICA and implementation of exhibitions. Establish and promote job performance in terms of industry standards in the methods of art handling, packing, shipping, and installation/de-installation for art handlers and other staff that handle works of art. Work with Director of Curatorial Affairs and other members of the Curatorial staff on special projects as needed.

Qualifications: Associate Degree or two year college required, BA in Art History or comparable degree strongly preferred plus 2 to 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with art handling or as a registrar in a museum setting preferred. Excellent organization, communication and computer skills required. Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and manage several projects simultaneously. Knowledge of contemporary art and art materials required. Knowledge of Excel and Filemaker Pro database helpful Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
