IT SECURITY ANALYST
Duties: Develop, evaluate, and manage systems security for the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and enforce and audit security policies and procedures. Perform and coordinate security incident response and incident handling while maintaining incident documentation. Develop and maintain firewalls and other systems to safeguard University data and networks. Provide network support to students, faculty and staff, and diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with computing hardware, software, and network equipment. Educate users on systems security standards and procedures. Maintain knowledge of changing information security threats and technologies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an information technology-related field and a minimum of one year of experience in systems administration, networking, and/or IT security; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical expertise in systems administration and the development and implementation of new security tools. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written business communications, documentation, and training delivery. Ability to deal confidentially with people at all levels of the organization.
