Duties: The Enrollment Coordinator oversees the enrollment services and student records of the English Language Programs (ELP), and reports to the Manager of marketing and International Relations. This position oversees admissions and enrollment functions for all programs offered by ELP. S/he supervises two administrative assistants in a busy office who provide administrative support in the areas of prospective student communications; admissions, enrollment and registration; housing; student records; and non-academic advising. This position is a member of the ELP Enrollment Management team and develops and sustains relationships with Penn providers of student resources and services. S/he participates in student orientation and retention programs, and serves on internal committees and taskforces related to student services. Outcomes are smooth operations, student enrollments, satisfaction, retention and success.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years working in an office with experience managing client or student data.
Experience living or working abroad or working with international clients. Strong customer-service orientation; strong verbal and written communication; strong attention to detail; strong ability to understand and develop processes; experience with financial transactions and an ability to understand how they impact processes. Self-starter that can understand responsibilities by reading manuals and following instructions.
Preferred: Experience working in an educational office; supervisory experience; experience using Penn systems; knowledge of foreign languages.
