Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD required in education, psychology, or relatedfield



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

One or more years of professional experience working in higher education evaluation of STEM educationinterventions at a large public research university.

Highly qualified candidates will demonstrate:
Knowledge of basic quantitative and qualitative education research and/orprogram evaluation methods.
Minimum two years of experience in an educational setting working withevaluation data from STEM educational programs, interventions or teachingprofessional development programs.
Experience developing and implementing evaluation plans for educationalprograms and courses in STEM, including developing and coordinating logicmodels across multiple programs.
Experience collaborating with educational program directors and coordinatorswho are responsible for conducting evaluation aimed at improving STEMeducation
Knowledge and skills in data management, entry and cleaning techniquesutilizing statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, STATA and Microsoft Access.
Evidence of strong organizational, analytical and writing skills; experience writing evaluation reports for funders or other stakeholders preferred.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
Evidence of strong interpersonal, teamwork and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of IRB rules and regulations; ability to develop IRB protocols andprocesses
Proficiency in, but not limited to, MS Office suite, survey assessment tools(e.g., Qualtrics), statistical software, qualitative data software.
Initiative, self-direction, creativity and critical thinking

Position Summary:

The WISCIENCE Evaluation Director will coordinate the Institute's evaluation and research efforts. Principal duties will include working collaboratively with individual WISCIENCE Program Directors to design program/course evaluation plans, develop IRB protocols, and collect data. The Evaluation Director will also be responsible for coordinating the collection of data across multiple programs and courses and compiling aggregated data sets for use in generating reports for the Institute.
