The International University Services Program Associate in the Adult Career and Special Student Services (https://acsss.wisc.edu/) works with the directors and coordinators in the units growing international programs (https://continuingstudies.wisc.edu/international-students/) to support the planning and implementation of quality, revenue-generating non-credit and credit programming for international learners and students through its American Culture and English Program (ACE), UW Advance Program, and the Visiting International Student Program (VISP). The work of this position is at the direction of departmental academic staff who serve as directors and coordinators of these specific programs. The position is under the general supervision of the Program Assistant Supervisor who works with front-line staff to support an entire office of 21 staff members in addition to providing customer support to the wider Division ( https://continuingstudies.wisc.edu/).
The Program Associate performs a wide range of administrative duties in support of programs directed by several program directors. The position requires the management of multiple priorities, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, independent judgement, and sound decision making. When authorized, the Program Associate speaks/acts on the behalf of the program directors in his/her absence. The position requires mastery of a broad set of competencies: event support and coordination, financial management, customer service, effective written and oral communication, organizational skills focusing on billing and data, time management, project management, and computer proficiency.

The Division through ACSSS also provides admission and support to thousands of special students who enroll in credit courses offered by faculty on the UW-Madison campus. ACSSS delivers high quality career and advising services to community members as well as providing advising and scholarship support to returning adult students. Continuing Studies is a revenue generating unit: programs and courses are expected to contribute to the financial stability of the Division.
7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday or as assigned to meet the needs of the Division.
