Position Summary: The Teaching Assistant Professor position in the Department of Communication will be a permanent, fixed term appointment beginning July 1, 2018. Responsibilities will include teaching a 3 -3 load of primarily introductory undergraduate courses in Media and Technology Studies. The candidate may also be asked to teach other courses, including first-year seminars of their own design that support the department's instructional needs. The department is committed to critical studies, the integration of practice and theory, and a broad range of communication studies. Salary up to $55,000, depending on experience.

Education Requirements: Ph.D. in Communication Studies or a closely-related discipline.
Qualification and Experience: The successful candidate should have a record of excellence in teaching, and demonstrated excellence teaching introductory undergraduate courses is strongly preferred. The candidate should be prepared to teach three courses beginning in the 2018 Fall semester. Classes begin on Tuesday, August 21st.
