Job description

Duties: Reporting to the Program Coordinator of the Kelly Writers House, the Assistant Program Coordinator will assist with all operational aspects of Writers House public programming, with a special focus on developing marketing materials, including email announcements, invitations, and paper mailers. In addition to providing operational support for all public programming, areas of responsibility will also include: book ordering, inventory tracking, menu planning, managing a publicity calendar, room scheduling, greeting visitors and invited guests, and social media engagement. Candidates should enjoy a balance of collaborative and independent work. Light administrative duties are also required.

Qualifications: High School degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred with 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with a preference for demonstrated experience in producing content on a tight deadline. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and comfort learning new technology is a plus, as is a strong interest in literature and the arts. Successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, and an ability to work closely and collaboratively with a wide range of constituencies, including students, community members, visitors, external partners and organizations, authors, faculty and staff.
