History Adjunct Instructor

Description of Position
The History Program is looking for a part-time instructor to teach college-level classes in U.S. history, such as History 120 (U.S. history to 1865) and History 121 (U.S. History: From 1865 to Present).

Instructor must be able to provide exemplary instruction, in accordance with approved course outlines, to a student body diverse in ethnicity, age, and academic skills.

Also, must be able to prepare and grade class assignments and exams, inform students of their academic progress of course requirements and evaluation procedures, maintain scholastic records, and submit them according to published deadlines

Bachelor€™s in history


Master€™s in political science, humanities, geography, area studies, women€™s studies, social science or ethnic studies

OR the equivalent. (If you do not possess the listed degrees, you must complete the equivalency from provided in the online application)

Desirable Qualifications
Experience in teaching community college (or university) History courses.
