Faculty Position—Cardiologist (Heart Failure)
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking a full-time academic Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our growing Heart Failure/Mechanical Circulatory Support Section. Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care to hospitalized patients and consultations for outpatients, including performing right heart catheterizations and endomyocardial biopsies; teaching residents, fellows and medical students; and developing an active research program. This non-tenure track appointment which will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be board-eligible/board certified in Advanced Heart Failure Disease and licensed in the District of Columbia by the time of appointment. Applicants should have demonstrated skills in the area of Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Assist Devices, including complex heart failure management; pre and post VAD management, including other mechanical circulatory support devices; and cardiac intensive care management.
