JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as Marketing Services Manager. Manages a wide-range of marketing strategy development for Clemson University. Serves as the chief implementer of the marketing plan. Ensures the advertising and media places meet University goals. Manages media buys and oversees University wide advertising campaign. Works with the creative team to develop marketing materials. Consults with colleges regarding marketing campaigns and reviews all advertising contracts for the university and University Relations. Develops and maintains partnerships and relationships with outside organizations with outside organizations and vendors for sponsorships.
JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Marketing Planning & Strategy: Coordinates and supports clients needs to help identify marking/communication opportunities, develop appropriate strategies, and determine the most effective means to reach target audiences. Sets goals, identifies content and establishes timelines for marketing initiatives. Fosters and maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients. Works collaboratively with the Executive Director to plan, direct, and implement goals and action plans for University Relations that are consistent with strategic goals, effectively promote Clemson to target audiences, and increase the Universitys state and national visibility. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for Clemson to increase enrollment for both undergraduate and graduate programs; ensures plans are aligned with universitys marketing and branding strategies.

30% - Essential - Digital Strategy & Media Planning: Assists in creation and management of innovative digital marketing campaigns (SEM/SEO, display advertising, video advertising, social, etc). Monitors industry best practices trends for digital marketing campaigns. Manage vendor relationships for digital campaigns and control ad cost/spend ratios. Assists in negotiation and placement of all University related media buys including print, broadcast, digital, outdoor, social and non-traditional.

20% - Essential - Marketing Research & Analysis: Collects and analyzes data to gauge effective strategies and make future recommendations to drive business outcomes. Develops metrics and use analytics and other measurement tools to track marketing progress. Reports outcomes according to established schedules and refines/adjusts plan as needed.

10% - Essential - Branded Content Development: Collaborates with Marketing and Strategic Communications colleagues in University Relations and campus to research, design, and produce creative and engaging marketing content; with an understanding of traditional email, marketing automation, social, direct mail, and event/experiential marketing. Completes other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications integrated media studies or related fields and 5+ years of relevant marketing and media experience.
