Administrative Specialist IV - Degree Auditor

Performs a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of a function, program, and/or dept; assists in program planning & development; interpret, monitor, & analyze information regarding operating policies & procedures; administers budgets; & coordinate academic and/or staff personnel matters. Performs "advanced-level" administrative support duties; not a secretarial position.

This position is within Graduation Audit and Transfer Evaluation Services (GATES) located in the Office of the Registrar. The primary responsibility is degree auditing for graduating students. This position is totally responsible for managing the degree requirements during all stages of the graduation audit process (initial audit, interim audit, and final audit) and corresponding with students when discrepancies arise in the degree requirements.

Minimum Hiring Salary:$15.63 per hour

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience OR a High School diploma and 2 years of college coursework and 6 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 8 years.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated administrative ability required.

Excellent organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skill are required

Strong customer service skills as well as in-depth trouble shooting skills

In-depth knowledge of degree program structures and USG general education (core) curriculum

Proven success working with academic departments and curriculum matters

Preferred experience and proficiency related to degree audits and/or transfer articulation

Preferred experience with Ellucian/Banner, NOLIJ, DegreeWorks or comparable experience with student information system, particularly transfer and curriculum modules;

Above average proficiency in computers, Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to develop knowledge of respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Work Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of related experience.
