The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) at Florida State University is pleased to announce a Visiting Specialized (Teaching) faculty position in the Leadership Studies program, which is situated in the Higher Education program.
Florida State University has a commitment to leadership education, as seen through the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies, undergraduate leadership course offerings, and the Leadership Learning Research Center. The Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies is a partnership between the Department of Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education and the Center for Leadership and Social Change in the Division of Student Affairs. It is an 18-credit, interdisciplinary, and experiential program that prepares students for leadership in multiple contexts.
Leadership education at Florida State University has expanded to include multiple course offerings and the new Leadership Learning Research Center (LLRC). The LLRC informs and supports scholars, educators, and practitioners regarding leadership teaching and learning through scholarship, curriculum development, and consultation. The strength of the LLRC resides in its theory-to-practice-to-theory framework, where research is directly applied to both curricular and co-curricular leadership education. You are welcome to learn more about the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies and the Leadership Learning Research Center at http://thecenter.fsu.edu/llrc
As a Specialized Teaching position (non-tenure track) this position requires instruction for four (4) classes in the Fall and Spring terms and two (2) classes in the Summer term.
