The Office Operations Associate is an advanced services support position that independently performs a variety of administrative and fiscal support tasks for the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) employees. This position is responsible for the management of the front desk, sending general office communications, managing the key checkout system, and conference room bookings. This position must maintain a working knowledge of all positions and services offered in the WCER Business Office and direct staff and visitors appropriately to ensure quality customer service. This position also provides support to the WCER Human Resources team with various administrative duties. In addition, the position assists with financial and auditing activities, and purchasing supplies. The decision-making is in accordance with department, School of Education, and University procedures. The individual must exercise good, independent decision-making, and have the ability to handle adverse or difficult situations. The ability to deal with people in a pleasant and professional manner is required. The employee works under general supervision.
WCER, located on the Madison campus, is the largest education research center in the United States and currently houses more than 100 research projects supported by approximately 500 faculty and staff. The center receives more than $50 million annually from federal and state agencies and private foundations.
7:45 am - 4:30 pm with a 45-minute lunch with some flexibility permitted.
