CLINICAL RESEARCH MANAGER
Duties: The Neuropsychiatry Section of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) have an opening for a Senior Clinical Assessment Manager. The Assessment Manager will be responsible, under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Assessment, for designing and implementing assessment procedures across Neuropsychiatry Program research and clinical protocols examining psychosis and related disorders in children, adolescents and adults. The position involves training and supervising Clinical Research Coordinators conducting assessments, interfacing with the clinical data core to develop and adapt assessment data interfaces, developing and implementing reliability and quality assurance procedures for ensuring high quality clinical data capture, communicating assessment progress and status through weekly written and oral reports to program faculty, and developing and maintaining assessment manuals and standard operating procedures. Protocols are broad in scope and include Brain and Behavior studies, and clinical interventions in the Penn Psychosis Evaluation and Recovery Center (PERC)
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology or a social science related field and 3 to 5 years of clinical trial/clinical research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field is strongly preferred. Experience working with individuals with psychotic disorders and children/adolescents, as well as experience in semi-structured diagnostic interviewing and psychological testing are required. The candidate must have strong organizational, leadership, supervision, communication and computer skills. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends will be required. Must pass Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
