Minimum Education/Experience: PhD in biostatistics or a related field. Experience in data analysis, research project development and management in an academic setting, and health outcomes research.

Job Duties: The Research Professor/Research Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Research will oversee and develop research programs in the Department of Surgery and serve as a resource for research methodology, research project planning, and statistical modeling. This individual will mentor surgical residents before and during their research year to ensure sound project planning, execution, data analysis, and publication of results. He or she will work closely with faculty to develop research plans and proposals with an emphasis on health outcomes research.
