Minimum Education/Experience: A PhD in Political Science or a related field, such as International Relations or National Security Studies. The position is open in terms of regional or issue-area specialization within the broader security-related context. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels is required.

Job Duties: The Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term position at the title of Teaching Assistant Professor to begin August 13, 2018. The successful candidate will become one of the faculty members in the Department of Political Science with primary teaching responsibilities in the Security Studies program and will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the classroom and online. Teaching load will be a 4:4. Service to the university, community and profession is expected. Salary is competitive.
