The College of Applied Studies at Florida State University invites applications for a visiting teaching faculty position in our Professional Communication program at the FSU Panama City campus in Panama City, FL. This position is a 9-month, visiting, full-time, specialized, non-tenure track teaching faculty position and the appointment will begin in Fall 2018.
Primary responsibilities are teaching four courses each in the Fall and Spring for the undergraduate professional communication program at FSU Panama City.
This position will include opportunities for mentoring and advising students and engaging in service to the department and campus as needed. PhD in Communications (or related field) from an accredited institution (must be conferred by start date of the position).
Preference will be given to those with previous teaching experience who can teach Public Relations courses and courses in at least one other program area (e.g., Advertising, Organizational Communications, Public Speaking).
The Panama City campus of FSU is located 100 miles west of Tallahassee on the beautiful St. Andrews Bay and is only three miles from the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico. FSU Panama City currently houses 19 bachelor's programs and 8 master's programs and boasts a small faculty-to-student ratio, which gives students a more personalized academic experience.
