Project Manager

Under the general direction of the Director of Research Development, the Project Manager will support the Vice Dean for Research and the Director of Research Development for operations and strategic initiatives. Serves as a manager for strategic research program initiatives, in such areas as analysis of the School's research programs, infrastructure, and funding portfolio and related communications. In these areas will be responsible for general support as well as end-to-end execution of specific projects.

The incumbent coordinates review and processing of materials and information requiring close interaction with the executive management of the School of Medicine, Medical Center, overall School of Medicine, offices of the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor-Provost, department Chairs and Chief Administrative Officers. Facilitates collaborations across the organization by working well with all levels of management. Develops and leverages relationships within the workplace and builds and sustains excellent relationships at multiple levels in the organization. In addition, facilitates interactions with UC Irvine Health Marketing and Communications and the campus units including UCI Office of Research and UCI Advancement.

The functions described below are in support of both the Vice Dean for strategic initiatives and the Director of Research Development to enhance strategic initiatives, but incumbent's primary role will be to support initiatives for enhancing research funding.

Salary: Commensurate with Experience.
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Business travel, as well as working evenings or weekends, may be required.
