Temporary Computer Resource Specialist Positions

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Radiology Technical Operations Manager, incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, user training, planning and implementation of the PACS (Picture Archive Computer System) digital radiology image storage and retrieval system. This includes installation and set-up for end users, identification of errors, notification and resolution of hardware and software problems, preparation and distribution of hardcopy reports. Monitors/tracks for accuracy, correcting errors by investigation, including review of images. Keeps the Display Stations, digitizers, printers and CD Burners in order.
Troubleshoots computer program & system problems, installs peripheral hardware, orders and installs approved software. Creates copy film and CD and digitizes films as needed; imports/exports studies through the PACS. Provides training on the Web and PACS functions to staff, radiologists and clinicians. Develops training plans and documentation, including User's Guides, and Procedures. Aids clinicians in setting up conference access to Radiology images via Web1000. Provides oversight to new Web & PACS users, including those outside of the Department of Radiology.
