Summary of Duties:
Primary person responsible for managing all the business functions and serve as the principal financial and personnel officer for the Social & Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC), an operating unit within the Office of Research.
Administer and supervise all the management functions for the unit providing budgetary oversight (with signature authority) for all unit budgets.
Represent SESRC working with WSU Personnel and outside entities to ensure that the business dealings of the office are handled in a consistent, professional manner. This position should be able to read, interpret, and implement contracts.
Primary responsibilities will include develop and managing the operating budgets, coordinate appropriate procedures and/or implements all personnel appointments, coordination of projects and special events, and supervision and training of support staff including fiscal and marketing staff. Exercises independent judgment and decision- making authority and is a counsel to the Director of SESRC. Travel may be required.
Positions require a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
