Strategic Analyst, Research and Prospect Management

As a member of our Development team, our Strategic Analyst will create, manage, analyze, and drive all prospect data-mining efforts in support of institutional fundraising priorities. A challenging role that will find you developing and maintaining portfolios, prospect management reports, and strategy briefings, you will work closely with our fundraisers in suggesting prospect fundraising targets and helping to develop strategies that bring our prospects to a yes.
As our successful candidate, you will have a Bachelor's degree with three plus years of experience in development or a similar complex organization. Formal instruction or knowledge of business or financial analysis is a plus, as is experience in prospect or biographical research. Your ability to analyze and interpret business and financial data/information, manage multiple projects and priorities, and meet and negotiate deadlines will be keys to your success. Your excellent oral and written communication skills, a high level of initiative and follow-through, and sound judgment are critical to our team synergy. The Advancement division at Dartmouth is driven by technology and our hire will be well-versed in Microsoft Office and have experience with complex databases.
